Stephanie Peterson is a Minnesota native who’s fallen in love with European life and wants to change the world.
Joining the fast-growing Runtastic team in 2012, she completed her tenure in Austria as CMO and Managing Director in early 2018. Steph was responsible for: growing the non-technical teams, products and services; all things marketing, comms, PR, brand and design; growth (performance marketing, CRM, monetization); content creation, localization and channel management. In addition to her in-office activities, Steph became an on-stage staple at digital, tech, growth and women in leadership events around Europe and beyond.
As of March 2018, Steph has been carving out her role as adidas VP Digital, based in the company’s international headquarters in Germany. Steph’s key responsibility of “defining and shaping the overarching global digital content strategy” includes: strategic planning and prioritization; embedding digital in all business units and seasonal market plans; driving the publishing process and shaping technical solutions for content and product mgmt.; realizing brand design’s creative direction for consumer-facing digital experiences.
Steph holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Drake University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Minnesota. She also boasts diverse employment and educational experiences in Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and throughout the United States. In addition to working to make the world a happier and more active place, Steph loves to run, play soccer, ski, travel, read, drink coffee (and wine), dance and keep up-to-date on trending cat videos.
