Chris Chalmers has worked across various industry sectors, choosing to specialise in digital & eCommerce marketing and CRM over the last ten years. Starting his career with Ford Motor Company, Chris remained in the automotive sector for 6 years latterly working for PSA Peugeot/Citroen where he undertook a variety of marketing and sales roles. He left the sector in 2007 to join Tesco, working for their fledgling online grocery business. This was Chris's first substantive role in eCommerce and he was responsible for all marketing planning and media investment.
Personal reasons lead Chris to relocate back to Yorkshire where he joined Jet2.com/Jet2holidays in 2009 to lead their digital marketing and CRM activity, he then joined Asda in 2012 to lead digital marketing for all their eCommerce businesses (food, fashion and general merchandise). He was promoted in 2014 to Digital Marketing Director, taking accountability for all digital marketing and CRM across all Asda's business units (stores, George fashion and homeware and eCommerce). Chris was also the lead UK representative in Walmart’s digital community.
Chris joined Thomas Cook UK&I in April 2017 as the Marketing and eCommerce Director, tasked with driving online growth whilst continuing the great work already undertaken to build the brand and grow loyalty. In his time their he grew eCommerce volumes to record levels but time away from family during the week proved too difficult and Chris left Thomas Cook in August 2018 and joined Studio.co.uk as Marketing Director.
